In 2025, we secured €25,000 from the Heritage Council Community Grant.

This was spent on new cast iron guttering and downpipes for the south side of the building. These are due to be installed in November 2025. Due to damaged piping, rainwater has been allowed to soak into the limestone wall of the building, particularly the chapel walls on the south side. This in turn causes peeling of the surface of the internal walls and dampness within the building.

In September, during National Heritage Week we hosted an open day at the convent and in October we hoisted an Architecture at the Edge evening.

The following photographs show a newly painted interior chapel wall In December 2024 and then within 10 months, water damage of the same wall caused by water ingress through the limestone walls, because of damaged downpipes and gutters. The support given by the Heritage Council has stopped this water damage.
